Albanian Hearts

Albania is a relatively small but very pretty country in south eastern Europe, near Kosovo. This country is probably the least visited southern European countries but that is about to change as more travellers start to take note of its beauty. This country has lovely, white sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and happening, improving cities.

Albania’s sandy beaches are lovely. These are most often white, sandy beaches except there are a dozen pebble beaches as well. You can if you like lie down in the hot sun on a rug or hire a sun lounge, the choice is up to you to make. Most of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreign visitors and a few are so remote that you could possibly have the beach all to yourself, even in during the peak season.

There are many fantastic mountain landscapes in Albania. These regions in the north are lovely for skiing or hiking and you are able to find plenty of waterfalls and amazing lakes in the region. The mountains in that region are brilliant to visit but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.

Albanian cities are fun with a cafe culture leading to a lot of trendy cafes to choose from. Albania cities such as Elbasan are worth taking the time to visit to visit the unique old city area and possibly to visit a few museums.

The Albanian people are very hospitable and will be more than happy to show you their country if you take the time to visit it.
