Albania is a small but amazing country in southern Europe, not too far from Croatia. This country is quite possibly the least visited countries in southern Europe but that will change before you know it as more and more tourists start to appreciate its wonderful attractions. This country has unbelievable, sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and young, expanding cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are fantastic. Albanian beaches are usually white, sandy beaches although there are a handful of pebble beaches also. You can if you like spend time in the hot sun on a towel or rent a sun lounge, the decision is yours. Plenty of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreign visitors and a few are so out of the way that you can have the beach to yourself, even in during peak times.
There are a number of beautiful mountain landscapes in Albania. Those in the north are perfect for skiing or hiking and you can also see quite a few waterfalls and clean lakes in the region. The mountains in that area are wonderful to view but the other mountain regions are also extraordinary.
Albanian cities are very vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in so many trendy cafes to relax in. Albania cities for example Durres are worth taking the time to visit to visit the unusual old city area and also to visit a couple of museums.
You are sure to find that people from Albania are extremely welcoming and will be pleased to take you around their country if you spend time there.
