Albania is a tiny but cute country in the Mediterranean region of Europe, not far from Serbia. It’s possibly the least visited countries in the Mediterranean but that is most definitely changing as more travellers start to appreciate its wonderful attractions. Albania has extraordinary, pure white sandy beaches, pristine mountain regions, and fun, growing cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are unbelievably beautiful. These beaches are most often white, sandy beaches except there are a couple of pebble beaches as well. You can if you want lie in the warm dry sun on a blanket or rent a sun lounge, the decision is up to you. Almost all of the beaches are practically untouched by tourists and some are so remote that you could be at the beach without anyone else, even in in the peak season.
There are quite a few fantastic mountain regions in Albania. These areas in the north are amazing for skiing or hiking and you can also find at least a couple of waterfalls and spectacular lakes in the area. The mountains in that area are fantastic to view but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture leading to huge numbers of great cafes to spend time in. Albania cities for example Berat are worth spending a few days in to view the unique old city area and also to visit a museum.
People from Albania are extremely warm and will be glad to introduce you to their country if you go there.
