Why I Prefer Albania Over Norway

Albania is a fairly small but very pretty country on the Mediterranean, neighbouring Croatia. It is one of the less popular European countries but that is starting to change as visitors notice its amazing attractions. This country has lovely, white sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and young, improving cities.

Albania’s clean sandy beaches are fantastic. These are normally white, sandy beaches except there are a few pebble beaches also. You could if you like spend time in the hot dry sun on a towel or pay for a lounge, the option is up to you. Most of the beaches are practically untouched by tourists and a handful are so quiet that you could quite possibly be alone on the beach, even in spring and summer.

There are numerous interesting mountain areas in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are great for skiing or hiking and you can also find a couple of waterfalls and astonishing lakes in the area. Those mountains are great to visit but the other mountain regions are also great.

Albanian cities are very vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are many great cafes to spend time in. Albania cities such as Durres are worth seeing to see the historic old city area and not to mention to visit a couple of museums.

Most Albanian people are mostly friendly and will be excited to present to you their country if you take the time to visit.
