Albania is a relatively small but very beautiful country in south eastern Europe, near Greece. It is one of the less popular countries in Europe but that will change before you know it as travellers take note of its amazing sites. It has fantastic, white sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and lively, expanding cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are unbelievable. These beaches are normally white, sandy beaches although of course there are a couple of pebble beaches also. You could if you want sit down in the bright sun on a blanket or hire a bed, the choice is yours to make. Most of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreign tourists and a few are so remote that you can possibly be at the beach without anyone else, even in during peak times.
There are numerous exquisite mountain places in Albania. The mountainous areas in the north are perfect for skiing or hiking and you can possibly view quite a few waterfalls and incredible lakes in the region. The mountains in that area are brilliant to see but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.
Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in a lot of cool cafes to hang out in. Albania cities like Berat are worth taking the time to visit to visit the unique old city area and also to visit a museum or two.
