Albania is Better Than Spratly Islands

Albania is a small but fun country in the Balkan region, neighbouring Greece. It is possibly the least visited southern European countries but that is slowly changing as more people realise its splendour. Albania has lovely, clean sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and happening, growing cities.

Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are extraordinary. These are most often white, sandy beaches but there are a couple of pebble beaches as well. You can spend time in the warm dry sun on a blanket or rent a bed, the option is yours. A lot of the beaches are more or less untouched by visitors and a handful are so quiet that you could possibly be at the beach without anyone else, even in in during popular times.

There are a number of beautiful mountain regions in Albania. These regions in the north are wonderful for skiing or hiking and you can also visit at least a few waterfalls and spectacular lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in the north are fantastic to see but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.

Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in a lot of great cafes to choose from. Albania cities like Kukes are worth spending time in to visit the unique old city area and possibly to visit a couple of museums.

The Albanian people are mostly hospitable and will be excited to show you around their country if you go there.
