Holiday in Albania Not Faroe Islands

Albania is a fairly small but fun country in the Balkans, neighbouring Croatia. This country is quite possibly the least visited countries in southern Europe but that is starting to change as more and more tourists come to appreciate its wonderful beauty. Without a doubt Albania has lovely, pure white sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and lively, improving cities.

Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are beautiful. Albanian beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches but there are a handful of pebble beaches as well. You could if you like lie down in the bright sun on a mat or lease a sun bed, the choice is yours to make. Many of the beaches are really untouched by foreign visitors and some are so quiet that you can be alone on the beach, even in in the peak season.

There are plenty of mountainous places in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you are able to visit at least a few waterfalls and spectacular lakes in the region. The mountains in the north are amazing to view but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.

Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture resulting in hundreds of trendy cafes to hang out in. Albania cities like Kukes are worth spending time in to view the historic old city area and not to mention to visit a few museums.

You are sure to find that Albanians are extremely warm and welcoming and will be more than happy to show you around their country if you spend time there.
