Holiday in Albania Not Malta
Albania is a very small but fantastic country in the Balkan region, neighbouring Croatia. It is one of the least visited European countries but that will change before you know it as travellers take note of its amazing beauty. Without a doubt Albania has extraordinary, sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and happening, growing cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are fantastic. The beaches are most often white, sandy beaches although there are a few pebble beaches too. You could sit down in the warm sun on a rug or lease a lounge, the decision is up to you to make. Plenty of the beaches are pretty much untouched by visitors and a number are so quiet that you can possibly be at the beach alone, even in during peak times.
There are a number of beautiful mountain areas in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are absolutely amazing for skiing or hiking and you can possibly view many waterfalls and fabulous lakes in the area. The mountains in that region are great to visit but the other mountain regions are also great.
Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in hundreds of busy cafes to choose from. Albania cities like Berat are worth spending a few days in to visit the unusual old city area and possibly to visit a museum or two.
People from Albania are mostly warm and will be excited to show you their country if you spend some time there.
