Albania is a very small but adorable country on the Mediterranean, not far from Kosovo. This country is quite possibly the least visited countries in southern Europe but that is starting to change as more and more visitors start to appreciate its amazing beauty. Albania has beautiful, white sandy beaches, more or less untouched mountain regions, and happening, growing cities.

Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are lovely. They are usually white, sandy beaches but of course there are a handful of pebble beaches as well. You could either spend time in the hot dry sun on a rug or rent a lounge, the decision is yours to make. Most of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreigners and a handful are so out of the way that you can quite possibly have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in in during popular times.

There are quite a few mountain regions in Albania. The mountains in the north are ideal for skiing or hiking and you can also visit many waterfalls and fabulous lakes in the area. These mountains are fabulous to see but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.

Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are a lot of local cafes to go to. Albania cities like Tropoja are worth seeing to see the unusual old city area and also to visit a couple of museums.

Albanians are mostly hospitable and will be more than happy to present to you their country if you take the time to visit.
