I Prefer Albania Over Jarvis Island
Albania is a small but pretty country on the Mediterranean, very close to Kosovo. Albania is one of the less popular countries in the Mediterranean but that will change before you know it as more and more people come to appreciate its amazing sites. It has unbelievable, white sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and happening, expanding cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are lovely. Albanian beaches are mostly white, sandy beaches but there are a dozen pebble beaches also. You can either spend time in the warm sun on a mat or get a lounge, the option is yours. A lot of the beaches are practically untouched by visitors and a handful are so quiet that you can possibly be at the beach alone, even in in during popular times.
There are a number of mountain regions in Albania. Those in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you can possibly view a lot of waterfalls and fabulous lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that area are wonderful to visit but the other mountain regions are also extraordinary.
Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture meaning there are heaps of great cafes to hang out in. Albania cities such as Vlora are worth spending a few days in to see the unusual old city area and possibly to visit a couple of museums.
You will most likely find that Albanians are very hospitable and will be more than pleased to show you around their country if you go there.
