I Prefer Albania Over Zaire
Albania is a small but great country in the Balkan region, close to Serbia. It’s probably the least visited Mediterranean countries but that has already started to change as travellers start to take notice of its amazing beauty. This country has exceptional, pure white sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and bustling, growing cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are extraordinary. Albanian beaches are most often white, sandy beaches although there are a dozen or so pebble beaches also. You can if you want lie down in the bright sun on a rug or lease a bed, the decision is up to you to make. Almost all of the beaches are really untouched by tourists and a few are so out of the way that you can have the beach all to yourself, even in during peak times.
There are numerous mountainous areas in Albania. These regions in the north are fantastic for skiing or hiking and you can also view a couple of waterfalls and incredible lakes in the region. The mountains in the north are great to view but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.
Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in many hip cafes to spend time in. Albania cities such as Kukes are worth taking the time to visit to view the historic old city area and possibly to visit a couple of museums.
Most Albanian people are extremely warm and welcoming and will be more than glad to show you around their country if you take the time to visit it.
