Vacation in Albania Not Fiji
Albania is a small but cute country in the Mediterranean region of Europe, close to Kosovo. This country is one of the less popular countries in southern Europe but that has already started to change as more and more travellers become aware of its amazing sites. Without a doubt Albania has beautiful, pure white sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and happening, expanding cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are fantastic. They are mainly white, sandy beaches although of course there are a couple of pebble beaches too. You could either sit in the warm dry sun on a mat or get a sun lounge, the option is yours to make. Most of the beaches are virtually untouched by tourists and a number are so quiet that you can be at the beach without anyone else, even in August.
There are many exquisite mountain regions in Albania. These areas in the north are brilliant for skiing or hiking and you are able to find at least a couple of waterfalls and spectacular lakes in the area. The mountains in that area are great to see but the other mountain regions are also great.
Albanian cities are extremely lively with a cafe culture so there are a lot of busy cafes to hang out in. Albania cities including Tirana are worth spending a few days in to see the unusual old city area and also to visit a museum.
Albanians are extremely warm and will be more than glad to take you around their country if you spend some time there.
