Albanian Hearts

Albania is a small but very pretty country in southern Europe, close to Croatia. It is one of the least visited countries in the Mediterranean but that will change before you know it as more tourists notice its wonderful sites. It has wonderful, white sandy beaches, pristine mountain regions, and fun, growing cities.

Albania’s clean sandy beaches are exceptional. They are usually white, sandy beaches but of course there are a few pebble beaches as well. You could if you like spend time in the hot sun on a blanket or hire a sunbed, the choice is yours to make. Almost all of the beaches are practically untouched by tourists and a couple are so remote that you could quite possibly have the beach to yourself, even in spring and summer.

There are numerous beautiful mountain places in Albania. The mountains in the north are lovely for skiing or hiking and you can also visit a couple of waterfalls and clean lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that region are fabulous to view but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.

Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in heaps of cool cafes to go to. Albania cities like Durres are worth taking the time to visit to visit the historic old city area and also to visit a few museums.

Albanian people are very warm and welcoming and will be excited to introduce you to their country if you spend time there.
