Visit Albania Not Ethiopia

Albania is a little but very beautiful country on the Mediterranean, near Italy. Albania is probably the least visited European countries but that is most definitely changing as travellers start to take notice of its amazing sites. Albania has extraordinary, clean sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and trendy, expanding cities.

Albania’s sandy beaches are lovely. They are usually white, sandy beaches but of course there are some pebble beaches as well. You can if you want sit down in the bright sun on a rug or get a sun bed, the decision is up to you. Many of the beaches are really untouched by visitors and a number are so out of the way that you can quite possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in in the peak season.

There are a number of mountainous places in Albania. Those in the north are brilliant for skiing or hiking and you can find a few waterfalls and incredible lakes in the region. The mountains in that area are exciting to view but the other mountain regions are also great.

Albanian cities are very vibrant with a cafe culture so there are huge numbers of great cafes to hang out in. Albania cities for example Gjirokastra are worth visiting to view the unique old city area and possibly to visit a museum or two.

The Albanian people are extremely hospitable and will be glad to present to you their country if you take the time to visit it.
