Why I Prefer Albania Over Peru
Albania is a little but very cute country in the Balkan region, very close to Montenegro. This country is one of the less popular southern European countries but that is starting to change as travellers notice its beauty. This country has exceptional, pure white sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and fun, expanding cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are extraordinary. Albanian beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches but there are some pebble beaches also. You can if you like lie in the bright sun on a blanket or get a sun bed, the choice is up to you. Most of the beaches are really untouched by foreign visitors and a handful are so quiet that you can be alone on the beach, even in during the peak season.
There are many mountain areas in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are fantastic for skiing or hiking and you are able to find a couple of waterfalls and perfect lakes in the region. The mountains in the north are exciting to view but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.
Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture resulting in heaps of hip cafes to relax in. Albania cities like Shkodra are worth visiting to view the unique old city area and possibly to visit a couple of museums.
You will most likely find that Albanians are mostly friendly and will be glad to present to you their country if you go there.
