Albania is a fairly small but very cute country in south eastern Europe, neighbouring Greece. It is one of the least visited countries in southern Europe but that is starting to change as tourists notice its amazing attractions. Without a doubt Albania has gorgeous, clean sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and young, expanding cities.

Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are fantastic. These beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches except there are a dozen or so pebble beaches too. You can either lie down in the warm sun on a blanket or hire a sunbed, the decision is up to you to make. Almost all of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreigners and a number are so remote that you can quite possibly be at the beach alone, even in August.

There are quite a few exquisite mountain areas in Albania. These regions in the north are absolutely amazing for skiing or hiking and you can also find at least a few waterfalls and astonishing lakes in the area. Those mountains are exciting to visit but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.

Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in hundreds of trendy cafes to relax in. Albania cities like Elbasan are worth seeing to visit the historic old city area and also to visit a couple of museums.
