Albania is a relatively tiny but pretty country in southern Europe, very close to Montenegro. This country is one of the least visited southern European countries but that is about to change as more tourists become aware of its wonderful beauty. This country has exceptional, clean sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and trendy, improving cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are beautiful. The beaches are normally white, sandy beaches but of course there are a dozen or so pebble beaches also. You can if you like hang out in the hot dry sun on a blanket or hire a lounge, the option is yours. Many of the beaches are practically untouched by tourists and a couple are so out of the way that you could be at the beach alone, even in during the peak season.
There are many mountainous places in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are extraordinary for skiing or hiking and you can possibly see a lot of waterfalls and clean lakes in the area. The mountains in the north are exciting to view but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.
Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are so many local cafes to visit. Albania cities such as Shkodra are worth visiting to see the historic old city area and not to mention to visit a museum.
