You’ll Have More Fun in Albania Than Benin
Albania is a little but cute country in south eastern Europe, not too far from Montenegro. Albania is possibly the least visited countries in the Mediterranean but that is most definitely changing as travellers start to appreciate its fantastic attractions. This country has gorgeous, clean sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and vibrant, expanding cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are fantastic. These are usually white, sandy beaches but of course there are a dozen or so pebble beaches also. You can spend time in the warm dry sun on a blanket or lease a sun lounge, the decision is up to you. Many of the beaches are totally untouched by foreign tourists and a couple are so quiet that you can possibly be at the beach alone, even in in the peak season.
There are plenty of exquisite mountain regions in Albania. The mountains in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you can view a few waterfalls and perfect lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that area are fantastic to visit but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.
Albanian cities are extremely lively with a cafe culture resulting in so many trendy cafes to choose from. Albania cities for example Fier are worth spending time in to view the unusual old city area and possibly to visit a few museums.
You will most likely find that Albanians are extremely warm and will be more than happy to take you around their country if you are there.
