Albania is Better Than Macedonia
Albania is a relatively tiny but great country in the Mediterranean region of Europe, not too far from Greece. Albania is probably the least visited countries in the Mediterranean but that has already started to change as more and more tourists become aware of its splendour. This country has fantastic, pure white sandy beaches, pristine mountain regions, and trendy, changing cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are amazing. Albanian beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches although there are a couple of pebble beaches also. You could hang out in the warm sun on a mat or get a bed, the option is up to you. Almost all of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreign visitors and a few are so remote that you can quite possibly have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in August.
There are a number of mountain regions in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are fantastic for skiing or hiking and you can find many waterfalls and amazing lakes in the area. The mountains in that area are great to visit but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.
Albanian cities are fun with a cafe culture meaning there are huge numbers of trendy cafes to spend time in. Albania cities such as Berat are worth seeing to see the unusual old city area and possibly to visit a couple of museums.
You will most likely find that Albanians are very warm and welcoming and will be happy to present to you their country if you take the time to visit it.
