Albania is Better Than South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands
Albania is a relatively small but very adorable country in the Mediterranean region of Europe, fairly close to Montenegro. It is quite possibly the least visited countries in Europe but that has already started to change as tourists start to take notice of its fantastic attractions. This country has unbelievably beautiful, white sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and vibrant, improving cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are lovely. These are normally white, sandy beaches but there are some pebble beaches too. You could spend time in the hot dry sun on a blanket or rent a lounge, the option is up to you to make. Almost all of the beaches are really untouched by foreign visitors and a handful are so remote that you can have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in August.
There are plenty of mountainous places in Albania. The mountains in the north are extraordinary for skiing or hiking and you can visit a couple of waterfalls and astonishing lakes in the region. The mountains in that area are wonderful to see but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are so many cool cafes to choose from. Albania cities including Tropoja are worth spending time in to see the unusual old city area and possibly to visit a couple of museums.
Albanian people are extremely warm and will be more than happy to show you their country if you are there.
