Avoid The Crowds by Holidaying in Albania Not Svalbard

Albania is a little but amazing country in the south of Europe, very close to Croatia. This country is currently one of the less popular southern European countries but that is about to change as more people notice its amazing sites. Without a doubt Albania has unbelievable, clean sandy beaches, more or less untouched mountain regions, and fun, growing cities.

Albania’s clean sandy beaches are lovely. Albanian beaches are normally white, sandy beaches but there are a handful of pebble beaches too. You can hang out in the hot sun on a blanket or rent a sunbed, the choice is yours to make. Most of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreign tourists and a number are so quiet that you could have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in spring and summer.

There are many exquisite mountain areas in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are amazing for skiing or hiking and you are able to visit a lot of waterfalls and amazing lakes in the area. The mountains in that region are brilliant to visit but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.

Albanian cities are lively with a cafe culture meaning there are plenty of hip cafes to relax in. Albania cities including Gjirokastra are worth spending a few days in to see the unique old city area and also to visit a couple of museums.

Albanian people are very hospitable and will be happy to introduce you to their country if you go there.
