Albania is a little but very beautiful country in the Balkans, near Italy. Albania is probably the least visited countries in southern Europe but that is most definitely changing as more and more travellers realise its amazing sites. This country has beautiful, pure white sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and bustling, expanding cities.

Albania’s sandy beaches are gorgeous. Albanian beaches are normally white, sandy beaches although of course there are a dozen or so pebble beaches also. You can if you like sit down in the warm sun on a rug or lease a sun lounge, the option is yours to make. A lot of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreigners and some are so remote that you could be at the beach alone, even in during peak times.

There are many exquisite mountain landscapes in Albania. These regions in the north are absolutely amazing for skiing or hiking and you can possibly view a couple of waterfalls and fabulous lakes in the region. Those mountains are fabulous to see but the other mountain regions are also extraordinary.

Albanian cities are fun with a cafe culture leading to plenty of trendy cafes to hang out in. Albania cities such as Shkodra are worth spending time in to see the unusual old city area and not to mention to visit a museum or two.

Albanian people are very friendly and will be more than glad to show you their country if you take the time to visit.
