Vacation in Albania Not New Zealand
Albania is a small but very pretty country in the Balkan region, fairly close to Greece. It is one of the less often visited European countries but that is most definitely changing as people start to appreciate its splendour. It has unbelievable, pure white sandy beaches, more or less untouched mountain regions, and trendy, growing cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are amazing. These beaches are normally white, sandy beaches but of course there are a couple of pebble beaches as well. You can either sit in the hot sun on a towel or hire a sun lounge, the option is yours. Plenty of the beaches are really untouched by visitors and a handful are so quiet that you could quite possibly be at the beach alone, even in summer.
There are quite a few interesting mountain landscapes in Albania. The mountains in the north are fantastic for skiing or hiking and you can find at least a couple of waterfalls and perfect lakes in the region. The mountains in the north are fantastic to see but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture so there are a lot of cool cafes to go to. Albania cities for example Vlora are worth taking the time to visit to view the unique old city area and also to visit a few museums.
Albanian people are very warm and welcoming and will be more than pleased to take you around their country if you spend some time there.
