Visit Albania Not Angola
Albania is a very small but great country in the Balkans, fairly close to Kosovo. It is currently one of the less popular countries in the Mediterranean but that is changing as more and more travellers take note of its fantastic sites. Without a doubt Albania has exceptional, white sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and lively, improving cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are wonderful. These are mainly white, sandy beaches but there are a dozen or so pebble beaches also. You could hang out in the warm sun on a blanket or rent a sunbed, the choice is yours. Many of the beaches are really untouched by foreign visitors and a few are so quiet that you could have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in spring and summer.
There are a number of exquisite mountain regions in Albania. Those in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you can also visit quite a few waterfalls and clean lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that region are wonderful to see but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.
Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture so there are a lot of trendy cafes to hang out in. Albania cities like Fier are worth spending a few days in to visit the unusual old city area and not to mention to visit a few museums.
You are sure to find that Albanians are extremely hospitable and will be glad to present to you their country if you take the time to visit.
