Why I Prefer Albania Over Niger
Albania is a tiny but amazing country in southern Europe, very close to Greece. This country is one of the least visited Mediterranean countries but that is about to change as travellers start to take note of its amazing beauty. Albania has extraordinary, clean sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and lively, changing cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are wonderful. The beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches except there are a dozen pebble beaches as well. You could either lie down in the bright sun on a blanket or pay for a sun lounge, the option is yours to make. Plenty of the beaches are practically untouched by foreign visitors and a number are so out of the way that you could quite possibly be at the beach alone, even in summer.
There are plenty of exquisite mountain landscapes in Albania. The mountainous areas in the north are absolutely amazing for skiing or hiking and you can also find a lot of waterfalls and astonishing lakes in the region. The mountains in that area are brilliant to visit but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are lively with a cafe culture meaning there are so many busy cafes to choose from. Albania cities including Vlora are worth taking the time to visit to visit the historic old city area and also to visit a museum or two.
Albanian people are very warm and will be happy to introduce you to their country if you spend time there.
