Why I Prefer Albania Over Western Sahara
Albania is a relatively tiny but adorable country in southern Europe, fairly close to Croatia. It is one of the less popular countries in Europe but that is starting to change as more and more people become aware of its fantastic attractions. Albania has unbelievable, sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and fun, expanding cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are gorgeous. Albanian beaches are normally white, sandy beaches but there are a dozen pebble beaches as well. You can if you like sit down in the warm dry sun on a mat or rent a lounge, the decision is yours to make. Most of the beaches are totally untouched by foreign visitors and a handful are so out of the way that you could possibly have the beach to yourself, even in during the peak season.
There are numerous mountain areas in Albania. Those in the north are great for skiing or hiking and you can possibly visit plenty of waterfalls and spectacular lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in the north are fabulous to visit but the other mountain regions are also extraordinary.
Albanian cities are very vibrant with a cafe culture so there are so many hip cafes to relax in. Albania cities like Shkodra are worth seeing to view the historic old city area and not to mention to visit a few museums.
Without a doubt you will find that Albanians are very friendly and will be excited to show you their country if you spend time there.
