Albania is a fairly small but very cute country in the Balkan region, very close to Italy. Albania is one of the least visited Mediterranean countries but that is most definitely changing as more visitors start to appreciate its amazing attractions. It has gorgeous, pure white sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and vibrant, changing cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are amazing. These are most often white, sandy beaches although there are a few pebble beaches too. You can if you want lie in the warm sun on a mat or hire a sun bed, the choice is up to you. A lot of the beaches are more or less untouched by visitors and a few are so remote that you could have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in in during popular times.
There are plenty of mountain areas in Albania. These regions in the north are ideal for skiing or hiking and you can possibly visit a few waterfalls and incredible lakes in that part of the country. Those mountains are exciting to visit but the other mountain regions are also great.
Albanian cities are lively with a cafe culture leading to hundreds of great cafes to go to. Albania cities including Elbasan are worth seeing to see the unique old city area and also to visit a few museums.
Without a doubt you will find that Albanians are very welcoming and will be excited to introduce you to their country if you spend some time there.
