You’ll Have More Fun in Albania Than Botswana

Albania is a tiny but very adorable country in the Balkan region, neighbouring Macedonia. It’s possibly the least visited countries in southern Europe but that is slowly changing as travellers start to take notice of its amazing beauty. It has gorgeous, white sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and bustling, growing cities.

Albania’s clean sandy beaches are fantastic. They are usually white, sandy beaches although there are a dozen pebble beaches too. You can if you want spend time in the hot dry sun on a rug or hire a sun bed, the choice is yours to make. Plenty of the beaches are totally untouched by foreign visitors and a few are so quiet that you could be at the beach without anyone else, even in in the peak season.

There are quite a few interesting mountain areas in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are extraordinary for skiing or hiking and you can see plenty of waterfalls and perfect lakes in the region. These mountains are fantastic to see but the other mountain regions are also great.

Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in heaps of busy cafes to spend time in. Albania cities for example Shkodra are worth spending a few days in to view the historic old city area and also to visit a couple of museums.

Albanians are very warm and will be excited to take you around their country if you take the time to visit it.
