Albania is a little but cute country in the Balkan region, not too far from Serbia. It’s currently one of the less popular southern European countries but that is slowly changing as more tourists appreciate its wonderful beauty. Without a doubt Albania has amazing, sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and happening, improving cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are gorgeous. These beaches are mostly white, sandy beaches but of course there are a dozen pebble beaches also. You can if you want hang out in the bright sun on a towel or hire a bed, the option is up to you. Almost all of the beaches are really untouched by foreign visitors and a handful are so quiet that you can possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in in during popular times.
There are a number of exquisite mountain areas in Albania. The mountains in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you can also visit a few waterfalls and spectacular lakes in the region. The mountains in that region are amazing to see but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are fun with a cafe culture resulting in so many great cafes to relax in. Albania cities like Shkodra are worth seeing to view the unusual old city area and also to visit a few museums.
You will most likely find that Albanians are mostly friendly and will be pleased to introduce you to their country if you spend time there.
