Albania is a fairly small but very cute country in the Balkans, not far from Greece. It’s possibly the least visited countries in the Mediterranean but that has already started to change as more and more visitors notice its fantastic attractions. Without a doubt Albania has extraordinary, pure white sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and vibrant, expanding cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are lovely. The beaches are normally white, sandy beaches except there are some pebble beaches too. You can either sit down in the warm dry sun on a mat or rent a sun lounge, the option is up to you to make. Plenty of the beaches are really untouched by foreigners and a number are so remote that you could have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in August.
There are many mountainous places in Albania. The mountains in the north are wonderful for skiing or hiking and you can possibly visit a few waterfalls and fabulous lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that region are wonderful to see but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.
Albanian cities are lively with a cafe culture leading to plenty of cool cafes to relax in. Albania cities such as Berat are worth taking the time to visit to visit the unique old city area and also to visit a museum or two.
