Albania is a relatively tiny but pretty country in the south of Europe, not too far from Serbia. This country is one of the less popular European countries but that will change before you know it as visitors become aware of its wonderful attractions. Albania has wonderful, sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and young, expanding cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are extraordinary. They are usually white, sandy beaches but there are a few pebble beaches too. You could if you like have fun in the warm sun on a towel or rent a lounge, the choice is up to you to make. Many of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreign visitors and a handful are so remote that you can possibly be at the beach without anyone else, even in spring and summer.
There are numerous mountain landscapes in Albania. Those in the north are amazing for skiing or hiking and you are able to find a lot of waterfalls and amazing lakes in that part of the country. Those mountains are fabulous to see but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are plenty of hip cafes to hang out in. Albania cities including Kukes are worth spending time in to see the unusual old city area and possibly to visit a museum.
You are sure to find that Albanians are very hospitable and will be more than glad to show you their country if you are there.
