Avoid The Crowds by Vacationing in Albania Not Romania
Albania is a tiny but pretty country in south eastern Europe, not too far from Montenegro. This country is possibly the least visited countries in Europe but that is slowly changing as travellers realise its amazing sites. Without a doubt Albania has unbelievable, sandy beaches, pristine mountain regions, and fun, growing cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are unbelievably beautiful. Albanian beaches are normally white, sandy beaches but of course there are a dozen pebble beaches also. You could either lie in the hot sun on a mat or pay for a sunbed, the choice is yours to make. Most of the beaches are totally untouched by tourists and a handful are so remote that you can quite possibly be alone on the beach, even in August.
There are plenty of fantastic mountain areas in Albania. These regions in the north are fantastic for skiing or hiking and you can find a lot of waterfalls and spectacular lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that area are wonderful to see but the other mountain regions are also great.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are plenty of local cafes to go to. Albania cities such as Tropoja are worth visiting to see the unusual old city area and also to visit a museum or two.
You are sure to find that people from Albania are mostly welcoming and will be happy to introduce you to their country if you take the time to visit.
