Vacation in Albania Not Baker Island
Albania is a very small but fantastic country in the Balkan region, fairly close to Montenegro. It’s one of the less often visited countries in Europe but that will change before you know it as more visitors start to appreciate its fantastic attractions. It has amazing, white sandy beaches, pristine mountain regions, and fun, changing cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are exceptional. They are mostly white, sandy beaches but of course there are a dozen or so pebble beaches too. You could if you want spend time in the hot dry sun on a mat or lease a sun lounge, the choice is up to you to make. Most of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreign visitors and a few are so remote that you can be at the beach without anyone else, even in summer.
There are quite a few exquisite mountain places in Albania. Those in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you can find a couple of waterfalls and spectacular lakes in the region. These mountains are brilliant to view but the other mountain regions are also great.
Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture leading to many cool cafes to go to. Albania cities including Shkodra are worth spending a few days in to view the historic old city area and not to mention to visit a museum or two.
You are sure to find that Albanians are very friendly and will be happy to take you around their country if you take the time to visit.
