Vacation in Albania Not Burundi
Albania is a tiny but very pretty country in the south of Europe, fairly close to Croatia. This country is currently one of the less popular countries in Europe but that is most definitely changing as more visitors notice its wonderful attractions. It has fantastic, sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and young, growing cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are gorgeous. The beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches but of course there are a few pebble beaches also. You could if you want sit in the bright sun on a mat or lease a bed, the choice is yours to make. Many of the beaches are more or less untouched by foreigners and a few are so remote that you can quite possibly have the beach all to yourself, even in August.
There are a number of interesting mountain landscapes in Albania. The mountains in the north are fabulous for skiing or hiking and you can also see quite a few waterfalls and amazing lakes in the region. Those mountains are brilliant to visit but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.
Albanian cities are lively with a cafe culture so there are a lot of cool cafes to go to. Albania cities for example Shkodra are worth visiting to see the historic old city area and possibly to visit a couple of museums.
People from Albania are very warm and welcoming and will be happy to take you around their country if you take the time to visit it.
