Visiting Albania is Better Than Visiting Netherlands Antilles

Albania is a very small but very cute country in the Balkan region, very close to Macedonia. This country is quite possibly the least visited European countries but that will change before you know it as tourists become aware of its beauty. It has amazing, sandy beaches, more or less untouched mountain regions, and trendy, changing cities.

Albania’s clean sandy beaches are amazing. These beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches but there are some pebble beaches also. You can if you like spend time in the warm dry sun on a towel or pay for a sun bed, the choice is up to you. Most of the beaches are virtually untouched by visitors and a handful are so quiet that you could be alone on the beach, even in spring and summer.

There are numerous mountain areas in Albania. Those in the north are extraordinary for skiing or hiking and you can possibly find at least a couple of waterfalls and spectacular lakes in that part of the country. Those mountains are fantastic to see but the other mountain regions are also amazing.

Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in hundreds of trendy cafes to go to. Albania cities like Gjirokastra are worth spending time in to view the unusual old city area and not to mention to visit a museum.

The Albanian people are extremely friendly and will be more than glad to present to you their country if you go there.

A lot of these less popular spots will become havens for many. While I’ve not yet been to Albania, the countries that aren’t yet swamped with tourists are nearly always a pleasure. I say nearly because it’s also been my experience that there is often a lack of general expertise from the locals, both residents and businesses, when it comes to dealing with tourists, which can make or break the attractiveness of a vacation destination. If people are too unfriendly and one encounters too many difficulties in getting problems they might encounter righted, then not only will they lose a return, but word of mouth will spread like wildfire about a negative experience, costing you potential tourist income.

So if you really want to attract the visitors, make sure you’re ready for them.
