Why I Prefer Albania Over Indonesia
Albania is a very small but amazing country in south eastern Europe, near Greece. This country is one of the least visited European countries but that is most definitely changing as people appreciate its amazing beauty. This country has amazing, clean sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and vibrant, changing cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are wonderful. These beaches are mostly white, sandy beaches although of course there are some pebble beaches too. You could either have fun in the hot sun on a mat or get a sun lounge, the decision is up to you to make. Plenty of the beaches are pretty much untouched by tourists and a few are so remote that you can possibly have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in spring and summer.
There are quite a few mountainous regions in Albania. These areas in the north are brilliant for skiing or hiking and you can possibly view at least a few waterfalls and spectacular lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that region are exciting to visit but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in heaps of local cafes to visit. Albania cities including Shkodra are worth spending a few days in to view the unique old city area and also to visit a couple of museums.
The Albanian people are mostly warm and will be more than happy to present to you their country if you take the time to visit.
