Why I Prefer Albania Over Oman

Albania is a small but very cute country in the Balkans, close to Croatia. Albania is quite possibly the least visited Mediterranean countries but that is slowly changing as travellers start to take note of its fantastic sites. Without a doubt Albania has lovely, pure white sandy beaches, more or less untouched mountain regions, and bustling, growing cities.

Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are wonderful. They are mainly white, sandy beaches except there are a dozen or so pebble beaches also. You can if you like have fun in the warm dry sun on a blanket or hire a sun bed, the decision is up to you to make. Most of the beaches are more or less untouched by foreigners and a handful are so remote that you can quite possibly be at the beach without anyone else, even in during peak times.

There are many interesting mountain regions in Albania. The mountains in the north are absolutely amazing for skiing or hiking and you can possibly find quite a few waterfalls and clean lakes in the region. Those mountains are wonderful to visit but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.

Albanian cities are fun with a cafe culture so there are hundreds of great cafes to choose from. Albania cities such as Elbasan are worth spending time in to visit the unusual old city area and not to mention to visit a museum.

Without a doubt you will find that Albanians are extremely warm and welcoming and will be pleased to introduce you to their country if you take the time to visit.

hello from Oman – Albania sounds nice; but you didn’t say why you preferred it over Oman

I prefer Albania over every country. It’s nothing personal :)

I’d love to visit Oman one day.
