Why I Prefer Albania Over Peru
Albania is a fairly small but great country in the Balkans, not far from Italy. Albania is quite possibly the least visited countries in the Mediterranean but that is changing as more travellers notice its amazing beauty. This country has amazing, white sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and trendy, changing cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are amazing. These beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches although there are some pebble beaches as well. You can either hang out in the bright sun on a mat or get a sun lounge, the decision is up to you to make. A lot of the beaches are really untouched by tourists and a few are so remote that you can have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in in the peak season.
There are plenty of beautiful mountain regions in Albania. Those in the north are absolutely amazing for skiing or hiking and you can also see a lot of waterfalls and clean lakes in the region. Those mountains are wonderful to view but the other mountain regions are also amazing.
Albanian cities are very vibrant with a cafe culture leading to hundreds of cool cafes to hang out in. Albania cities for example Saranda are worth seeing to see the historic old city area and not to mention to visit a museum or two.
You will most likely find that Albanians are very friendly and will be glad to take you around their country if you take the time to visit.
