You’ll Have a Better Holiday in Albania Than Turkey
Albania is a fairly small but pretty country in the Balkan region, not too far from Serbia. Albania is probably the least visited southern European countries but that is about to change as more and more tourists come to appreciate its splendour. Albania has amazing, pure white sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and lively, growing cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are lovely. These beaches are mostly white, sandy beaches but of course there are a few pebble beaches too. You could if you like spend time in the bright sun on a towel or get a sun lounge, the decision is up to you. Many of the beaches are pretty much untouched by tourists and a handful are so out of the way that you could possibly have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in August.
There are many fantastic mountain regions in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are fantastic for skiing or hiking and you can possibly visit many waterfalls and incredible lakes in the region. These mountains are brilliant to view but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.
Albanian cities are fun with a cafe culture resulting in heaps of trendy cafes to spend time in. Albania cities such as Tirana are worth visiting to see the unique old city area and possibly to visit a few museums.
You are sure to find that Albanians are extremely friendly and will be happy to take you around their country if you are there.
