Albania is a very small but adorable country in the Balkans, near Macedonia. It is quite possibly the least visited countries in Europe but that is most definitely changing as more and more people start to appreciate its amazing beauty. Albania has unbelievable, clean sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and happening, expanding cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are gorgeous. They are usually white, sandy beaches but of course there are some pebble beaches as well. You can if you like have fun in the warm dry sun on a rug or get a lounge, the choice is yours to make. Almost all of the beaches are totally untouched by foreign tourists and a handful are so quiet that you could possibly be at the beach alone, even in during the peak season.
There are numerous beautiful mountain landscapes in Albania. The mountains in the north are fabulous for skiing or hiking and you are able to visit a few waterfalls and amazing lakes in the area. These mountains are amazing to visit but the other mountain regions are also extraordinary.
Albanian cities are lively with a cafe culture leading to many busy cafes to relax in. Albania cities for example Elbasan are worth seeing to see the unusual old city area and also to visit a few museums.
