Albania is a little but pretty country in the Mediterranean region of Europe, very close to Greece. Albania is one of the less popular European countries but that will change before you know it as people realise its fantastic attractions. Albania has lovely, white sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and trendy, growing cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are beautiful. Albanian beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches although there are a dozen pebble beaches as well. You can either spend time in the hot sun on a blanket or hire a sun lounge, the decision is up to you. Most of the beaches are more or less untouched by foreign visitors and some are so remote that you could be alone on the beach, even in summer.
There are many fantastic mountain landscapes in Albania. The mountains in the north are absolutely amazing for skiing or hiking and you can also view many waterfalls and pristine lakes in the region. Those mountains are amazing to visit but the other mountain regions are also extraordinary.
Albanian cities are extremely lively with a cafe culture leading to huge numbers of trendy cafes to visit. Albania cities for example Durres are worth spending time in to visit the unusual old city area and not to mention to visit a few museums.
Albanians are mostly welcoming and will be more than glad to show you around their country if you go there.
