Avoid The Crowds by Holidaying in Albania Not Grenada

Albania is a tiny but amazing country on the Mediterranean, fairly close to Greece. Albania is one of the least visited countries in Europe but that is slowly changing as more and more people appreciate its amazing attractions. Albania has exceptional, clean sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and young, expanding cities.

Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are beautiful. These beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches but of course there are a dozen or so pebble beaches too. You could hang out in the warm sun on a mat or rent a sun lounge, the choice is up to you. A lot of the beaches are really untouched by visitors and a handful are so out of the way that you can quite possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in August.

There are plenty of beautiful mountain places in Albania. The mountainous areas in the north are brilliant for skiing or hiking and you can possibly see a few waterfalls and perfect lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that region are wonderful to view but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.

Albanian cities are very vibrant with a cafe culture so there are huge numbers of great cafes to visit. Albania cities including Gjirokastra are worth seeing to visit the unique old city area and also to visit a couple of museums.

Albanians are mostly hospitable and will be more than happy to take you around their country if you are there.
