Albania is a tiny but great country in the south of Europe, not too far from Kosovo. This country is probably the least visited European countries but that is about to change as more and more visitors notice its amazing beauty. This country has amazing, pure white sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and bustling, changing cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are amazing. These are mostly white, sandy beaches except there are a couple of pebble beaches too. You could either hang out in the hot dry sun on a mat or hire a sun lounge, the decision is yours. Many of the beaches are really untouched by foreign visitors and a number are so out of the way that you could quite possibly be at the beach alone, even in August.
There are many beautiful mountain areas in Albania. These areas in the north are absolutely amazing for skiing or hiking and you can possibly see a few waterfalls and incredible lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that region are fabulous to visit but the other mountain regions are also extraordinary.
Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are hundreds of hip cafes to relax in. Albania cities such as Durres are worth spending time in to visit the historic old city area and not to mention to visit a museum or two.
Albanians are extremely warm and will be more than glad to take you around their country if you spend some time there.
