I Prefer Albania Over Ecuador
Albania is a relatively tiny but great country in the Balkans, not too far from Macedonia. It is possibly the least visited southern European countries but that is most definitely changing as more travellers realise its splendour. This country has wonderful, clean sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and happening, changing cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are gorgeous. These are mostly white, sandy beaches but there are a dozen pebble beaches also. You can if you want have fun in the warm sun on a blanket or lease a sunbed, the option is up to you to make. Most of the beaches are really untouched by foreigners and a couple are so quiet that you could quite possibly be at the beach alone, even in in the peak season.
There are a number of mountain places in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are fabulous for skiing or hiking and you are able to see a lot of waterfalls and amazing lakes in the area. The mountains in the north are fabulous to view but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.
Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture so there are heaps of hip cafes to go to. Albania cities like Fier are worth seeing to see the historic old city area and also to visit a museum.
You will most likely find that Albanians are mostly warm and welcoming and will be happy to present to you their country if you spend time there.
