Vacation in Albania Not Slovenia
Albania is a relatively small but amazing country in southern Europe, fairly close to Montenegro. This country is one of the least visited countries in Europe but that is slowly changing as more and more travellers realise its splendour. Albania has wonderful, white sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and young, changing cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are fantastic. These are mostly white, sandy beaches except there are a dozen or so pebble beaches also. You can sit down in the bright sun on a towel or get a bed, the option is up to you. Most of the beaches are totally untouched by tourists and a few are so out of the way that you could possibly be at the beach without anyone else, even in spring and summer.
There are many exquisite mountain places in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are fantastic for skiing or hiking and you can possibly visit plenty of waterfalls and perfect lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in the north are amazing to view but the other mountain regions are also great.
Albanian cities are fun with a cafe culture leading to so many local cafes to hang out in. Albania cities including Gjirokastra are worth taking the time to visit to see the unique old city area and possibly to visit a couple of museums.
Albanians are extremely friendly and will be more than glad to take you around their country if you take the time to visit.
