Albania is a relatively tiny but very beautiful country in the Balkan region, close to Italy. It’s possibly the least visited southern European countries but that is slowly changing as visitors take note of its beauty. Without a doubt Albania has fantastic, clean sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and vibrant, expanding cities.

Albania’s white sandy beaches are wonderful. Albanian beaches are mostly white, sandy beaches but of course there are a handful of pebble beaches also. You can hang out in the hot dry sun on a towel or lease a sunbed, the option is up to you to make. Many of the beaches are virtually untouched by visitors and a handful are so quiet that you can be at the beach alone, even in in during popular times.

There are plenty of beautiful mountain landscapes in Albania. The mountainous areas in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you can possibly see many waterfalls and amazing lakes in the area. The mountains in the north are fabulous to see but the other mountain regions are also amazing.

Albanian cities are lively with a cafe culture resulting in plenty of local cafes to choose from. Albania cities like Berat are worth spending a few days in to view the unique old city area and not to mention to visit a few museums.
