Visiting Albania is Better Than Visiting Syria
Albania is a small but very beautiful country in the south of Europe, neighbouring Italy. It’s one of the least visited southern European countries but that is most definitely changing as more and more travellers appreciate its fantastic sites. Without a doubt Albania has extraordinary, clean sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and trendy, expanding cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are gorgeous. These are most often white, sandy beaches except there are a few pebble beaches also. You can sit down in the hot dry sun on a towel or hire a sun lounge, the choice is up to you. Most of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreign tourists and a few are so out of the way that you can possibly be alone on the beach, even in spring and summer.
There are many mountainous areas in Albania. Those in the north are extraordinary for skiing or hiking and you can possibly find at least a couple of waterfalls and pristine lakes in the region. The mountains in that region are fabulous to see but the other mountain regions are also extraordinary.
Albanian cities are fun with a cafe culture leading to heaps of busy cafes to relax in. Albania cities such as Durres are worth taking the time to visit to visit the historic old city area and not to mention to visit a museum or two.
The Albanian people are extremely friendly and will be happy to take you around their country if you spend time there.
