Why I Prefer Albania Over Brunei
Albania is a very small but fantastic country in the Mediterranean region of Europe, very close to Montenegro. It’s currently one of the less popular European countries but that will change before you know it as more tourists notice its fantastic attractions. Without a doubt Albania has beautiful, sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and bustling, changing cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are exceptional. They are usually white, sandy beaches although of course there are some pebble beaches also. You can if you like lie down in the warm dry sun on a blanket or pay for a sunbed, the decision is up to you. Many of the beaches are more or less untouched by foreign tourists and a handful are so out of the way that you could have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in summer.
There are numerous exquisite mountain regions in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are lovely for skiing or hiking and you can also view a few waterfalls and pristine lakes in that part of the country. Those mountains are exciting to see but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture so there are plenty of hip cafes to relax in. Albania cities for example Fier are worth taking the time to visit to see the historic old city area and possibly to visit a few museums.
Albanians are very warm and welcoming and will be more than glad to take you around their country if you spend time there.
