Why I Prefer Albania Over Lesotho

Albania is a little but very cute country in the Balkans, not far from Croatia. This country is probably the least visited European countries but that is changing as more visitors notice its beauty. It has beautiful, sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and bustling, improving cities.

Albania’s sandy beaches are unbelievably beautiful. These beaches are mostly white, sandy beaches but of course there are some pebble beaches also. You can either sit down in the hot sun on a towel or hire a bed, the decision is up to you to make. Most of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreign tourists and a couple are so quiet that you can possibly be at the beach alone, even in spring and summer.

There are many mountainous areas in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are wonderful for skiing or hiking and you can possibly find a couple of waterfalls and perfect lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that region are fantastic to see but the other mountain regions are also amazing.

Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture leading to huge numbers of trendy cafes to spend time in. Albania cities for example Berat are worth visiting to view the historic old city area and possibly to visit a couple of museums.

Most Albanian people are mostly warm and welcoming and will be pleased to take you around their country if you take the time to visit it.
