Why I Prefer Albania Over Panama
Albania is a very small but beautiful country in southern Europe, fairly close to Kosovo. It is currently one of the less popular countries in the Mediterranean but that is most definitely changing as more and more travellers realise its splendour. This country has lovely, clean sandy beaches, more or less untouched mountain regions, and happening, improving cities.
Albania’s sandy beaches are fantastic. These are mostly white, sandy beaches although there are a few pebble beaches also. You could either have fun in the warm dry sun on a rug or rent a sun bed, the choice is up to you. Most of the beaches are more or less untouched by foreign visitors and a few are so remote that you could quite possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in summer.
There are plenty of mountain places in Albania. Those in the north are wonderful for skiing or hiking and you can possibly view plenty of waterfalls and spectacular lakes in the area. The mountains in the north are great to visit but the other mountain regions are also amazing.
Albanian cities are lively with a cafe culture leading to many hip cafes to spend time in. Albania cities including Vlora are worth visiting to view the unique old city area and not to mention to visit a few museums.
Albanians are extremely warm and welcoming and will be excited to show you their country if you spend time there.
